Job Opportunities - 300MW Wind Farm based in Kenya

Aldwych International Ltd., a UK based owner and operator of electricity supply projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, is seeking a General Manager and a Construction Manager for its wholly owned subsidiary Aldwych Turkana Limited (“ATL”) to be part of a team responsible for managing the successful construction and commissioning of the prestigious Lake Turkana Wind Farm project in Kenya. This project is soon to be the largest wind farm on the continent of Africa, and is located near Loyangalani in Marsabit West County, approximately 12 km east of Lake Turkana in north-western Kenya and comprises 365 850kW wind turbines.


ATL will be recruiting a team to represent the project owner (Lake Turkana Wind Power Limited) during the construction phase of the project.  The total construction period of the project is 32 months.  Construction management and the interfaces between contractors will be managed by the Project Management Contractor. ATL will manage the project on behalf of Lake Turkana Wind Power Limited, whilst the Project Management Contractor will carry out day to day management of construction and interfaces between contractors.  The construction contracts consist of a turbine supply, delivery and erection agreement, an electrical infrastructure agreement, a dynamic reactive power compensation contract, a social and housing infrastructure contract and a site road network and access road improvement contract.
