Kenyan 80-90MW project award
The Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited today announced that the 80-90MW power project to be constructed at Rabai, a site 20km outside of Mombasa, Kenya was awarded to the consortium of Aldwych International Limited (Aldwych) and Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S (BWSC). The consortium of Aldwych and BWSC was confirmed as the technically compliant bidder with the lowest financial offer and was thus the selected bidder.
Detailed negotiations on the Power Purchase Agreement are to commence in the next few days with the aim of signing the PPA early in the New Year.
