Target Markets

Aldwych's business is to develop, construct (or acquire), manage, own and operate electricity generation, transmission and distribution projects in developing markets. Projects are typically asset-backed with solid and bankable off-take agreements.

Electricity generation projects can be based on traditional fuels or on renewable technologies. They can also be captive power plants for industrial customers or grid connected for wide distribution.

Distribution and transmission projects are contract backed, preferably with secured tariff adjustment mechanisms.

Aldwych also considers associated fuel related projects such as coal, oil, gas or biomass production, transport and storage in conjunction with power generation projects.

Aldwych's experience, activities and value added roles in such projects include project development and financing, construction management, operations and maintenance management, and direct equity investment.

Aldwych seeks to carry out these activities in emerging markets, and is currently actively engaged in Africa.
